GreenBee Wholistic Home Services is on a mission to make our beautiful Planet a better place Together. We aim to help people live more sustainably through home and land services such as organic, native and food gardening; soil improvement; learning and sharing tips for daily life; and better home energy efficiency.
We believe in the beauty of nature and want to inspire everyone to embrace a greener lifestyle. Trust us to help create beautiful and eco-friendly home and garden spaces that make a positive impact on the environment.
About Mel
The founder and creatrix of GreenBee is Melissa Coleman Geoffrion. Her friends call her Mel and she kinda likes it.
Mel spent her childhood in Chicago outside playing in the dirt whenever possible. She fondly remembers all the “mud pies,” the “digging to China,” marveling at the way the ants danced with the peonies, the smell of Sycamore leaves in the Autumn, and how sad she was every time her adopted pet bugs died in their fancy shoebox home.
Like many life paths, Mel’s was anything but linear. She spent time learning architectural drawing and design, ran a landscape design business for a short while, went to school for psychology, and ended up with a very successful 27 year career in high tech before dedicating her focus to GreenBee. She’s living in the Sonoran Desert now which she loves more every day, and navigating family life with 3 kiddos, 3 big dogs, a whole bunch of neurodiversity, and ever-changing ways of being.
Mel bought her first home at the age of 22, which was a complete gut and rehab of an old dream house. She also rediscovered her love of all things plant and dirt and bugs and gardening - and has definitely been known to stay outside well after dark to get planting done. She met her husband, Damien, later and they found a common love for home improvement projects and a focus on sustainability. Adding in Damien’s skill and talents with all things carpentry, rigging, tree work, digging holes, making water flow, and odd handy man jobs - starting GreenBee Wholistic Home Services in 2020 together was a natural step.
Mel and Damien are grateful to have a beautiful home in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson Arizona where they’ve been building Community with like minded friends since 2014. They have big, green plans for this beautiful Desert and hope you will join them.
